Könnt ihr mir helfen Stilmittel zu finden
und deren Bedeutung/Funktion zu erklären?

Take up the White Man’s burden—
Send forth the best ye breed—
Go bind your sons to exile

Helfer sind Menschen, die kleine Tipps geben oder korrigierend eingreifen, wenn der Hilfesuchende nicht alleine weiter kommt.
Dieser muss aber zeigen, dass er das notwendige Werkzeug besitzt und schon mal alleine angefangen hat.

Da es für die Schule ist hab ich mich wohl schon selbst mal drangesetzt, aber komme eben nicht weiter…

soweit hab ich
„the white man’s burden“ als metapher analysiert, da damit die aufforderung gemeint ist, auch zu kolonisieren
als eine Art Leitmotif, das sich später als Idelogie des Empires entwickelt hat

burden kommt dabei ein doppelter sinn hinzu (nennt man das Ambiguität?); als eine Art Pflicht die die Europäer erfüllen müssen und als Bürde, da sie dafür nicht belohnt werden und dies nicht zum eigennutz machen, sondern nur für das wohl der anderen völker

damit erzeugt kipling auch mythen, die zur legitimation des imperialismus angeführt werden

außerdem repetition, da dieser satz in jeder strophe wiederholt wird, somit einen gewissen rhythmus erzeugt und einen zusammenhang im gedicht darstellt; dies als zentrale aussage gilt bzw. als aufforderung an die usa

„toward the light“ bin ich mir unsicher ob dies eine Metapher oder Metonymie darstellt
auf jeden Fall bedeutet Licht hierbei Wissen, Zivilisation, Fortschritt, etwas positives

dadurch das in der ersten strophe die „natives“ als half-devil und half child bezeichnet werden, stellen sich die kolonialmächte als eine art oberhaupt dar, als eltern, die die kindlichen eingeborenen erziehen müssen (Sozialdarwinismus)
aber ich weiß nicht, mit welchem stilmittel man dies bezeichnet?!

„laurel“ ist ein symbol für sieg

„egyptian night“ eventuell auch eine metapher?
ich glaube das bezieht sich darauf, dass moses die juden aus ägypten forgeführt hat, eine art befreiung, die die hier beschriebenen einheimischen aber nicht wollen…

mmh, also wir müssen eben einfach nur bestimmte stilmittel bestimmen und ich finde irgendwie doch nur sehr wenige…
