Moin,
unter WinXP wird mir mit dem Schild in der Taskleiste angezeigt, das neue Updates verfügbar sind und man diese installieren soll. Es handelt sich um den „Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1“.
Wenn ich dann auswähle, dass die Installation starten soll, wird diese intialisiert und dann bekomme ich die Meldung „Einige Elemente konnten nicht installiert werden“ und dann wird der o. g. Installer aufgelistet.
Was tun?
Ein weiteres Update soll beim herunterfahren des Systems installiert werden. Dabei kommt die Meldung „Istalliere Update 1 von 1“ und dann geht der Rechner ganz normal aus, allerdings soll beim nächsten Herunterfahren wieder ein Update installiert werden, auch wenn man zwischendurch nicht im Internet war.
Ist das das gleiche Problem? Wenn ja, siehe oben, wenn nein: was tun?

Was tun?
Da gibt es leider einige Gründe, warum das schief gehen kann.
Du könntest mal so die letzten 50 Zeilen der Datei „WindowsUpdate.log“ aus Deinem Windows-Verzeichnis hier einstellen. Da kann man u.U. erkennen was los ist.
Wenn Du ohne Diagnose gleich basteln willst, dann beende den Update-Dienst und lösche das Verzeichnis „SoftwareDistribution\Download“ im Windows-Verzeichnis. (Dienst wieder starten nicht vergessen)
Du könntest aber auch einfach ein manuelles Update über den IE anwerfen um zu sehen, ob da derselbe Fehler kommt.

Ich hatte gestern noch den Installer 3.1 manuell runtergeladen und (schienbar ohne Fehler) installiert. Danach hat er massig Updates runtergeladen und auch beim Ausschalten 39 Updates angezeigt. Ob er die alle installiert hat kann ichnicht sagen, er war verdächtig schnell aus…
