kann mir jemand sagen wie ich diesen Modus, welcher bei meinem Rechner unter Leistungsmerkmale seit neustem eingestellt ist, wieder deaktivieren kann?
Ich weiss nicht einmal warum dieser auf aktiviert ist.
Win98 sagt mir dazu das dieses wohl wegen irgendeiner installierten Software geschehen ist!?

ich bin es noch einmal.
Im folgenden erhaltet Ihr eine genauere Beschreibung meines Problem´s:
(Ich habe die Beschreibung aus einer FAQ-Datenbank, doch leider steht dort nicht beschrieben wie ich dieses Problem lösen kann)
Hängt das folgende Problem eventuell damit zusammen, daß ich kein zugriff mehr auf mein CD-Rom und Brenner habe?
Q: My system works, but performance seems sluggish. If I check my „System“ control panel and look at the „Performance“ section, it says that the IDE controllers are working in „DOS Compatibility Mode“ and that 32-bit file system access and 32-bit virtual memory are not available. Then I look at the „Device Manager“ section and it has little yellow exclamation marks next to the IDE driver entries. I can’t figure out what to do about this. What is happening here?
A: The system has built-in 16-bit generic IDE drivers that it uses by default if it can’t find a 32-bit driver or can’t properly initialize the one it loads. It puts up the exclamation marks to indicate that it had a problem initializing the 32-bit driver. This is not a driver problem but a problem with Windows 95 itself. There are known limitations of Windows 95 that may cause problems if proper installation procedures are not followed. These are NOT problems with VIA IDE controllers and can happen with ANY system, even Intel.

Das Problem hatte ich schon mehrfach,
also Meldung über MS-DOS-KOMP.-MODUS
und CD-ROM funktioniert nicht.
War jedesmal ein Boot-Record-Virus.
Da würde ich als erstes mal nach suchen.

Langt es wenn ich mit fdisk /mbr den Bootsektor neu schreibe?

Hallo Michael,
Das sollte ausreichen.
Allerdings mußt du den PC mit einer cleanen
Startdiskette booten die „Schreibgeschützt“
ist. Nicht von der HD Booten.
Also Bootreihenfolge im Bios auf A umstellen.

fdisk /mbr hat geholfen.
Allerdings war nicht ein Virus die Ursache.
