Englisch Geschichte

One nice day, Kevin sat in school and couldn't wait for the bell to ring.
Kevin was a racy boy with many freckles all-over the face. He was very favoured. Everyone liked him, except one guy: Bill! He just couldn’t accept that he wasn’t as popular as Kevin. But it would be better if he could, because anyway he can't change it! With his charming character and his beautiful smile, being just five minutes with Kevin was enough to know: "I like him"
When he got up it seemed like every usual morning: Having breakfast, brushing teeth, packing his schoolbag...and all this boring stuff which a 10 years old guy has to do.
"Bye mum!", he said and gave her a peck on the cheek. On the way to school he passed -like every boring morning- by one of his best friends Josh and fetched him. Josh was a bit chubby, sluggish and very, very clumsy, but that didn't care Kevin.
"Oh, come on! We're already late!" "Sure we aren't, you're just early!", Josh answered laughing. After a short discussion about being late or not, they arrived at school. Mary-Ann, who wears glasses and always has got two pigtails, was already sitting on a bench on the schoolyard. She definitely was the most intelligent of the entire class, even the entire school. Sometimes she speaked very intricately, so that the others have problems to understand her. Now the group of three is complete.
They knew each other since they were four. Nothing, precisely nothing can break them up.
The boys took a seat next to Mary-Ann. "What are we gonna do this afternoon?", Kevin asked. He looked over to his friends. "What about just....chillin'?", Josh asked.

Re: Englisch Geschichte

Hi!
Wie lautete die Aufgabe genau?

Mein Vorschlag:

One fine day Kevin was sitting in school and he couldn't wait for the bell to ring.
Kevin was a racy boy with many freckles all over his face. He was very popular. Everybody liked him, except one guy: Bill! He just couldn't accept that he wasn't as popular as Kevin. But it would have been better if he could have been because he couldn't change it anyway! With his charming character and his beautiful smile, just spending five minutes with Kevin was enough for people to know: "I like him"
When he got up it seemed like every usual morning: Having breakfast, brushing his teeth, packing his schoolbag...and all this boring stuff which a 10 year old boy has to do.
"Bye mum!", he said and gave her a peck on the cheek. On the way to school like every boring morning he called on one of his best friends to pick him up. Josh was a bit chubby, sluggish and very, very clumsy, but that didn't bother Kevin.
"Oh, come on! We're already late!" "Surely we aren't, you're just early!” Josh answered laughing. After a short discussion about being late or not, they arrived at school. Mary-Ann, who wore glasses and always had two pigtails, was already sitting on a bench on the schoolyard. She definitely was the most intelligent person in the whole class, even the whole school. Sometimes she spoke in very intricate way, so that the others had problems to understand her. Now the group of three was complete.
They had known each other since they were four. Nothing, precisely nothing was able to break them up.
The boys sat down next to Mary-Ann. "What are we going to do this afternoon?” Kevin asked. He looked at his friends. "What about just.... chilling’?", Josh asked.

Re^2: Englisch Geschichte

But it would have been better if he could have been because he couldn't change it anyway!
Kannst du uns das nochmal genauer erklären?

Re^3: Englisch Geschichte

Hi Nina!

Es wäre besser wenn du mir erklärst was dein Satz bedeuten soll.
Ich habe einige Sachen nicht verstanden.

Gruß
Siân

Re^4: Englisch Geschichte

Hallo!
But it would have been better if he could have been because he couldn't change it anyway!

Vielleicht:
But it would have been better if Bill accepted it because he
was not able to change it anyway!

Gruß
Siân

Re^6: Englisch Geschichte

Hallo!
Ja! Das hört sich gut an! Danke :)

Re: Englisch Geschichte

Hallo Nina!
One nice day, Kevin sat in school and couldn't wait for the
bell to ring. Kevin was a racyracy bedeutet laut Leo "rassig", "feurig" oder sportlich boy with many freckles all-over the face. He was very favoured. Everyone liked him, except one guy: Bill! He just couldn’t accept that he wasn’t as popular as Kevin. But it would be better if he could, because anyway he can't change it! With Because of (würde hier besser passen, das bedeutet dann soviel wie "aufgrund" oder "wegen" his charming character and his beautiful smile, being just five minutes with Kevin was enough to know:
"I like him" When he got up it seemed to be like every usual morning: Having breakfast, brushing teeth, packing his schoolbag...and all this boring stuff which a 10 years old guy has to do. "Bye mum!", he said and gave her a peck on the cheek. On the way to school he passed -like every boring morning- by one of his best friends Josh and fetched him. Josh was a bit chubby, sluggish and very, very clumsy, but that didn't care Kevin. Besser wäre hier "But Kevin didn't care about that" "Oh, come on! We're already late!" "Sure we aren't, you're just early!", Josh answered laughing. After a short discussion about being late or not, they arrived at school. Mary-Ann, who wears glasses and always has got two pigtails, was already sitting on a bench on the schoolyard. She definitely was the most intelligent of the whole class, even the whole, denn entire wird eher im Sinne von vollständig verwendet. school. Sometimes she spoke, denn die Formen von speak lauten speak, spoke, spoken very intricately, so that the others have problems to understand her. Now the group of three is complete. They have known denn mit since verwendet man das present perfect each other since they were four. Nothing, precisely nothing can break them up. The boys took a seat next to Mary-Ann. "What are we gonna do this afternoon?", Kevin asked. He looked over to his friends. "What about just....chillin'?", Josh asked.
