das Zitat fällt in den berühmten Tavistock Lectures, und zwar in der Fünften Vorlesung. Abgedruckt hier:

Ich nehm mal ganz stark an, dass er diese Vorlesungen auf Englisch gehalten hat, nachdem sie schon an Londoner Ärzte gerichtet waren. Insofern scheint dein Wortlaut auch das Original zu sein.

Ob das nun das Original ist oder eine nachträgliche Übersetzung, kann ich leider nicht sagen.
