War vor kurzem in Portugal. Dort spielten
2 junge Musikerinnen auf der Straße irische
Folklore. Ein Titel war dabei den ich besonders gut fand, habe aber leider nur vom Refrain einen Teil behalten".... she´s the belle of Belfast-City". Vielleicht kann mir ja jemand weiterhelfen.

Tja, fast genauso heisst auch der Song, nämlich "Bell of Belfast City" von den LICK THE TINS.

Den schon gegebenen Liedverweis kenne ich nicht - er kann stimmen, auch wenn ich andere Angaben habe, weil irische Folksongs meist unter mehreren Titelversionen bekannt sind.
Ich denke, Du meinst "I'll tell me Ma", dessen Text beginnt:
I'll tell me Ma when I go home,
the boys won't leave the girls alone,
They'll pull my hair, they stole my comb,
well that's alright till I go home.
chorus:

Meine Lieblingsversion befindet sich auf dem Album "Irish Heartbeat" von Van Morrison und den Chieftains (1988 Caledonia/Polygram), es gibt aber Dutzende weiterer Versionen, u.a. eine nette von den Clancy Brothers aus den 60ern.
