Hallo Freunde,
bekanntermaßen lassen sich acht Damen auf einem Schachbrett unterbringen, ohne daß sie sich gegenseitig schlagen können. Ich habe begonnen, Lösungen für dieses Problem zu sammeln und habe bisher acht verschiedene (in Wahrheit eher Spiegelungen und Drehungen). Gibt es mehr als acht Möglichkeiten und kann man die Anzahl mathematisch beweisen?

Hallo,
Von einem mathematischen Beweis ist mir nichts bekannt, aber ich habe einmal vor Jahren ein Programm geschrieben, das sämtliche Positionen der 8 Damen am Brett durchprobiert.
Dieses Programm hat insgesamt 92 Lösungen ausgegeben:
12 grundlegende Stellungen (die sich nicht durch Drehung oder Spiegelung in einander überführen lassen), sowie die gedrehten und gespiegelten Versionen dieser Grundstellungen.
(Eine der 12 Grundstellungen ist symmetrisch, daher sind es insgesamt nicht 12*8=96 Lösungen sondern nur 92.)
Irgendwo müßte ich diesen Programmausdruck noch haben. Falls sich wer für diese Lösungen interessiert, werde ich versuchen, den Zettel auszugraben…

hier jetzt wie versprochen die Lösungen. Daß es insgesamt 92 sind, hatte ich noch richtig im Gedächtnis. Allerdings sind es nicht 12 sondern 23 Stellungen, die sich nicht durch Drehungen und Spiegelungen in einander überführen lassen.
In der linken Spalte stehen die Lösungen alphanumerisch aufsteigend sortiert; in der rechten Spalte sind Stellungen, die aus einer anderen abgeleitet werden können, unter dieser ursprünglichen Stellung eingerückt dargestellt:
