AGP 8x = AGP 4x kompatibel?

Hallo,
angenommen man hat ein Mainboard das 4x AGP unterstützt, aber eine Grafikkarte die 8X AGP unterstützt:

  1. Ist das kompatibel?
  2. Wenn ja, geht es stark auf die Leistung?
