im Januar bin ich für 4 Tage zu einem Seminar in Den Haag, habe dazwischen allerdings zwei Tage frei. Können Sie mir sagen, welche Ausflugsziele wir in der Region rund um Den Haag und Rotterdam empfehlen können?! Was sind allgemeine Highlights und schöne Tipps in und um Den Haag?! Einen PKW haben wir zur Hand

it competely depends on what you are interssed in.The Hague has quite a lot of musea;it is very near to Delft and Haarlem (rather old cities).
Amsterdam is also not so far away. Coffeeshops, the famous painting of Rembrandt ‚The Nihtwatch‘, the equivalent of the Hamburger Reeperbahn, but also the canals and 17th century houses.
January is of course not the best time of the year for a touristic visit. We think it a rather cold and dark month. But we almost never have snow or ice (exep last year), so in some parts of Germany it must be a lot colder.
If you are from the inner part of Germany you mght be interessed in the beach, the sea and our defences against the waves, the socalled Wester-Scheldekering.
Rotterdam has a big harbour, the city of Leiden a wellknown university, Utrecht is nice …
If you give me some more details about the seminar. I could try to give a descripition of places that might be visited in the afternoons or evenings.
A daytrip to Brugge in Flanders is possible; the province of Zeeland is also quite nice. As said before, it more or less depends on what you like to do or see.
On the whole most places are easy to get to with a car, wich makes it more difficult to decide where to go to …
