einer meiner Computer hat soeben den Geist aufgegeben. Beim Einschalten kommt folgende Tonfolge: lang-kurz-kurz-kurz. Nach einer Weile ein tiefer Ton und ein noch tieferer Ton.
Award-BIOS bei DFI P5BV3+
Weiß jemand definitiv, welches Teil da seinen Geist aufgegeben hat? Das würde mir die morgige Bastelei erheblich erleichtern.

1xlang 3x kurz = fehler auf egakarte
5x kurz = prozessorausfall oder Videospeicher

Problem kenne ich … entweder CPU, Board oder sogar beides

vielen Dank für Eure Mühe. Aufgrund von Sevans Hinweis habe ich (leicht schamerfüllt) in das Handbuch vom Motherboard geschaut und folgendes gefunden, was ich Euch nicht vorenthalten will:
There are two kinds of beep codes in the BIOS. One code indicates that a video error has occured and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display additional information. This beep code consists of a single long beep followed by three short beeps. The other code indicates that a DRAM error has occured. This beep code consists of a single long beep.
Da kann man nur noch anmerken:
Kein Ton: Lautsprecher kaputt.
Rauchwolke: Computer kaputt.
