Hallo Leute!
Ich habe mir neulich einen 512mb sd-ram Riegel von infineon gekauft , da aber nur 256mb angezeigt werden , denke ich , dass ein bios-update nötig ist. Ich habe ein Elitegroup Motherboard P6BAP-A+ S370,VIA693A,ATX,SND. Das Bios heißt „Award Software International, Inc. 4.51 PG“ (so steht es zumindest in den systeminformationen von windows)und ist version 2.2.
Wie kann ich ein Bios Update machen?
Kann mir vielleicht einer einen Link geben wo ich ein update herbekomme?

Theoretisch würdest Du ein aktuelles BIOS Version 1.3a aus 2003 auf http://www.ecs.com.tw/download/dw_spec.asp?product_i… finden. ABER laut Handbuch
You must install at least one memory module and the first memory
module should be installed in slot DIMM1, the second in slot DIMM2 and
the third in slot DIMM3. If the modules use standard SDRAM, the
maximum capacity of each module is 128 MB, if the modules use
registered SDRAM, the maximum capacity is 256 MB.
Das heisst, wenn das schöne teure Infinion RAM registered ist, dann hat Du maximal 256 MB (pro Riegel) adressierbar. Also Umtauschen gehen oder verkaufen und dann 2x256 registered DIMMs, bzw. 3x128 MB unregistered DIMMs holen.

ich würd meinen, dass nen neues board billiger ist als registered ram
