harddisk prob, dos, partition magic
Hallo, es handelt sich um folgenden computer:
amd athlon 1500+, 256 ram, sound on board, fujistu-siemens.
win me war oem-mässig vorinstalliert. der brenner hat nicht funktioniert: immer wenn man eine cd in den brenner legte, kam der bluescreen, nix ging mehr. ob als slave oder als master. dann wollte ich win2k draufinstallieren, weil der brenner in einem anderen rechner sgt lief.
und dann kam ein prob nach dem anderen. mit partition magic wollte ich die 40gig platte in 2 bereiche unterteilen. ich versuchte win2k ein paar mal draufzuinstallieren. enteder ich war zu doof, oder aber die festplatte (oder das motherboard?) war kaputt. oder ein virus? unter fdisk zeigte die platte an, sie habe 80 gig, statt der 40 usw. und nun bekomme ich unter fdisk keine festplatte mehr angezeigt und mit partition magic 7.0 auf diskette habe ich „fehler 116“ bekommen. schaut man auf der website von powerquest nach, dann erhält man das:
Solution: Error 116 Partition table Begin and Start inconsistent
Cause: The hard disk partition table contains two inconsistent descriptions of the partition’s starting sector. This error can occur if the operating system reports a hard disk geometry that is different from the geometry in use when the partition table was written.
The following are possible causes for the changes in the hard disk geometry:
- Different operating systems (for example, DOS and OS/2) report different hard disk geometries.
- You boot from a diskette that loads a different driver than is loaded when you boot from the hard disk.
- Upgrading the operating system (for example, from OS/2 2.x to OS/2 Warp) causes a different driver to be used.
- The hard disk or controller has been changed.
- The BIOS has been upgraded.
- The BIOS LBA setting has been changed.
- There is a partition table virus present on the hard disk.
Solution: In most instances, you must backup the partition, and then delete and re-create it.
You can also use a virus scanning program to remove any partition table viruses that may be present.
If the error is caused by a translation change, restoring the original translation should get rid of the error. Data loss is possible if the number of heads or sectors per track has changed since you first created your partitions. A PARTINFO will reveal which partitions are having the problem. (See „Running a PartitionInfo.“)
kann man mir helfen? kennt sich jemand aus, wie ich unter dos oder so, auf viren testen kann? oder ist die boot.ini verschroben? wie kann ich die editieren?
kann ich die festplatte bedenkenlos an einen anderen win2k rechner schliessen und von dort aus arbeiten?
