Hallo,

ich suche nach einer Übersetzung des folgendes Satzes:
„I suppose because the half life of this bismuth 209 they’ve found is actually 1.9x10 to the power of 19 years.“

Ich weiß nicht, was mit „1.9x10 to the power of 19 years“ gemeint ist.

Könnte mir vielleicht jemand helfen?

Ganz sicher bin ich nicht (Mathegenie, das ich bin), aber ziemlich sicher das:
(1,9) mal (10 hoch 19) Jahre
oder so geschrieben:
1,9 x 1019 Jahre

Hi,
Ganz genau, „to the power of“ heißt auf Deutsch einfach „hoch“.

1,9×1019 Jahre sind also:
19.000.000.000.000.000.000 Jahre oder:
19 Trillionen Jahre
