Englisch: letter to the editor

Hallo!!!
Ich wollte mal fragen, ob jemand drüber gucken und vielleicht auch das Ende schreiben könnte. Ich komm nicht mehr weiter :frowning:
Das ist ein Letter to the editor.
Link zu dem Text:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/28/opinion/28herbert…
Das hab ich bis jetzt geschrieben:
Mr. Herbert - I refer to your op - ed article „America Is Better Than This“ which was published in the New York Times on August 27th, 2010.
I quite agree with your opinion about Glenn Beck. He is a provocateur who is rewarded with fame because he is popular, not because he is right.
Nevertheless I would say that he has the right to tread upon with his rally where he wants. In my opinion he makes himself ridiculous by delivering his speech in front ot the Lincoln Memorial.
I entirely agree with your criticism on Glenn Beck´s opinion about Barack Obama. He should judge him based on facts and not on prejudge and ignorance.
At least …
To sum up I would say that …
Wollte noch irgendwie was dazu schreiben mit
I understand your worries about the growth of violence. Mehr fällt mir nicht ein.
Wäre echt nett, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte.
Danke in Voraus!
LG

Hallo,

Mr. Herbert - I refer to your op - ed article „America Is
Better Than This“ which was published in the New York Times on
August 27th, 2010.
I quite agree with your opinion about Glenn Beck. He is a
provocateur who is rewarded with fame because he is popular,
not because he is right.

He likes to provoke and receives recognition for it
fame/popular sind ja gewissermaßen das gleiche, deshalb würde ich auch den 2. Teil des Satzes ummodeln.

Nevertheless I would say

Nevertheless , I would like to say

that he has the right to tread upon
with his rally where he wants.

to tread upon passt hier nicht, eigentlich verstehe ich nicht mal genau, was du sagen willst - eventuell:
he has the right to choose his topics /issues

In my opinion he makes himself
ridiculous by delivering his speech in front ot the Lincoln
Memorial.

In my opinion he opens himself to ridicule by delivering…

I entirely agree with your criticism on Glenn Beck´s opinion

critism of Glenn Beck’s op

about Barack Obama. He should judge him based on facts and not
on prejudge and ignorance.

not on prejudice and ignorance

At least …
To sum up I would say that …
Wollte noch irgendwie was dazu schreiben mit
I understand your worries about the growth of violence.

But I certainly agree with your concerns about the increase of violence.

Cheers,

Elke
