Schreibe zur Zeit ein Referat in Englisch über Australien. Kann da jemand vielleicht über die Grammatik und Rechtschreibung drübersehen?
Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Untill 1925 the continent was called ‚‚New Holland‘‘. This goes back to Dutch discoverers.
In 1606 Willem Jansz sighted Cape York, the north point of the today’s Queensland.
Between 1616 and 1640 followed other discoverers,who get off course on the way to Java and passed the west coast of Australia.
In 1640 the ‚‚Ostindiengesellschaft‘‘ desides to finance an expedition,to explore australia.
After that Abel Tasman discovers Tasmanien.In 1696 Willem de Alamingh leads an expedition when he and his crew were able to map some parts of Australia`s west coast.
Bacause of the fact the the hope of the Dutchman for prosperous trade with their new discovery do not fulfiled, they lose their interest. Already in 17th century they mappes almost the whole west- and north coast but nevertheless they do not trie to settle this area.
Besides there are assumptions that before the Dutchman portuguese discoverers visit australia, but keep their discovery a secret.

Mit der Rechtschreibung kann eigentlich auch die Rechtschreibprüfung deiner Textverarbeitung helfen, wenn du die Sprache auf Englisch einstellst. Oder ein Wörterbuch…
Die meisten Verben musst du ins simple past setzen, da, wo es halt um die Vergangenheit geht…
