ich würde den Satz wie folgt schreiben:

„I glad to see that you BELIEVE in God, too!“ the man SAID to the lion in relief. „Oh yes,“ REPLIED the lion, „here in Africa we KNOW about God for many years! And it WILL always BE a tradition in my family to say grace before meals!“

Mit den genauen Zeitbestimmungen kann ich leider nicht helfen. Habe Englisch nicht durch die Schule und das dortigen Pauken von Grammatik gelernt, sondern durch jahrelange Auslandsaufenthalte.

Ich habe einfach mal die Verben in den jeweiligen Zeiten in den Text eingesetzt.
In der Reihenfolge ist es simple present (am), simple present (believe), simple past (said), simple past(replied), present perfect (have known), present perfect (has been).

  2. Hier müsste ich wissen in welcher Zeit wir uns bewegen. Vergangenheit usw. Aber ich würde sagen „said“ (simple past)oder „says“ (simple present)
  3. replied (simple past bezw. wenn das im präsens spielt dann „replies“)
  4. knew (simple past)
  5. „and it HAD/HAS always BEEN a tradition…“
