Did you know this song ? That was the hymn from New Zealand. What do you know about this wonderful island? Did you know that New Zealand is called “ The green island” and did you know why the inhabitants are called themselves “Kiwis”?
My name is (…) and today I’m going to talk about New Zealand. I would like to close your knowledge gaps
Now I’d like to give you a short overview about the presentation. My talk is divided into five parts. First of all, I’m going to look at some basics.
Secondly, I will present the history.
Then, I’ll move on to the economy
Finally, we’ll focus on the environment. Then Politics and at last famous people and sports.
Let´s start with some basics . New Zealand was a colony of Great Britain. Today is New Zealand a member in “commonwealth of nations” In the flag you can see a little British-flag and four red stars. The currency of New Zealand is New Zealand dollar. On the streets you drive on left. Wherefrom comes the specialist term Kiwi for the inhabitants ? Since the middle of the 19. Century some traditions of the European and the Maori are developed to New Zealand traditions. The special term Kiwian correlates the New Zealand culture specified the national identity. It defined what it means to be a kiwi as the new Zealander are calling themselves. In New Zealand living 4 millions people. The most are Christians and from Britain. The Hymns are God Defends New Zealand and British Hymn God Save the Queen. Official languages are English and Maori.

Next I’d like to focus on the history
Before 1000 years the Maori from Polynesian were the first people who live on New Zealand. In 1642 Abel Tasman found New Zealand. The coast was explored in 1769 to 1777 by the British James Cook. At the end of the 18 century the whites settled on the little island. The British get the right of ownership through the Waitangi-Pact in 1840. Later the British avoided that other nationalities can´t move to New Zealand. Than the Maori demonstrate but the whites killed many natives. Today is New Zealand progressive. For example: New Zealand was the first land when women can vote. Since 1907 New Zealand is independent.
My third part is about the economy.
Nearly 25 % of the area is willows. Therefore the animal breeding, the fruit-growing and the growing of cereals is playing a big role. On the coast a lot of people live of fishing. Important harbors are for example in Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelzonbei. The biggest part of the industry is on the North islands.

At next I present some things about the environment. This part is divided in two smaller parts: Geography and Flora and Fauna.

Let´s now move to Geography
The area is 268 608 square kilometers that’s smaller than Italy. The capital is Wellington but the biggest city is Auckland. Some more big cities are Christchruch, Dunedin, Hamilton and Manukau. New Zealand is out of two main islands and over 700 smaller islands. Little islands are for example tokelauisland, stewartisland, chathamisland, Kermadecisland, campbellisland, snareisland and the solanderisland. The two central islands are divided through the “cookstrait”. That´s a 22 kilometer wide strait. The two main islands are rocky. On the North Island you can admire many bays and volcanoes. The highest is Puapehu with 2797 meter. The South Island is very different. There you can see deep Fjords as Norway. Also you can see the albs. In part they are glaciated. A famouse mountain is Mount Cook. It`s 3764 meter high. Before the albs are rank hills and flat land.
Now I want to talk about the Flora and Fauna
A sensational flora and fauna came into being through the isolation of the island. A famous animal is the kiwi. A unable to fly bird. The most know plant is the silver tree fern.

As I already indicatetd , I present some little things about the politics
The monarch of New Zealand is Queen Elizabeth the second and the prime minister is john key. The governor-general is Sir Jerry Meteparae.

At last I would like to present some famous People and Sports
Sport is very important for a New Zealander. Popular sports are Rugby, Cricket, Softball und Netball.
PETER JACKSON is from New Zealand and the filmmaker of “ Lord Of Rings)
SIR EDMUND HILLARY was the first man who climbs the Mount Everest.
KATE SHEPPARD was taking on for the right of women. She is image on the 10-Dollarnote.

That was my little presentation. I hope I could close your knowledge gaps. Thank you for listening.

Hallo,
ich fange mal an.
Da du sprichst, sind short forms (I’m, I’d like to) besser als long forms.
I would like to close your knowledge gaps ist sehr seltsam, besser wäre fill gaps in your knowl., aber da du ohnnehin nicht alle Lücken schließen kannst mit einer Kurzpräsentation, warum nicht einfach „I’d like you to learn some new things about N.“ oder so.
Du verwendest da teils Präsens (live, get…)
Überleitungen: Rede nicht solange darüber, was du tun wirst, sondern informiere die Leute ohne leere Phrasen
Next I’m going to present the environment of New Zealand, first its geography, then its flora and finally its fauna.

Did you know this song ? That was the hymn OF New Zealand.
What do you know about this wonderful island? Did you know

I would like to close your knowledge gaps s.o., nächsten Satz weglassen, gleich weiter:

My talk is divided into five parts: First of

all, I’m going to explain some basics to you, then NZ’s history, its economy, its environment, politics and finally some of its famous people and sports
Finally, we’ll focus on the environment.
Let´s start with some basics . New Zealand was a colony of
Great Britain. Today is New Zealand

NZ is a member OF the “Commonwealth of Nations” In the flag you can see a little British flag and four red stars. The currency of New Zealand is New Zealand dollar. On the streets you drive on THE left.

Wherefrom comes

Where does the term „Kiwi“ for the inh. come from?
Since the middle of the 19. century some European and Maori traditions have developed into New Zealand traditions.

The special term Kiwi an correlates the New Zealand culture
specified the national identity.

Keine Ahnung was du hier meinst.

It defineS what it means to be a kiwi as
the new Zealander are calling themselves. In New Zealand
living 4 millions people.

NZ has 4 million inhabitants. Most are Christians and HAVE THEIR ROOTS IN Britain. The hymns are God Defends New Zealand and THE British Hymn God Save the Queen. Official languages are English and
Maori.

Next I’d like to focus on history
Before 1000 years

1000 years AGO the Maori from Polynesia were the first
people who liveD IN New Zealand. In 1642 Abel Tasman found (discovered?) New Zealand. The coast was explored between 1769 and 1777 by the British discoverer James Cook. At the end of the 18 century the whites settled on the little island. The British get (PAST!) the right of ownership through the Waitangi-Pact in 1840. :Later the British avoided

that other nationalities can´t move to New Zealand.

letzter Satz unverständlich

ThEn the Maori demonstrateD but the whites killed many natives.
Today is New Zealand progressive. SATZBAU korrigieren
For example: New Zealand was the
first land when women can vote.

country; ein Land ist keine Zeit, when macht keinen Sinn. can ist Präsens, passt hier auch nicht

Since 1907 New Zealand is independent. HAS BEEN
My third part is about the economy.
Nearly 25 % of the area is willows. Weiden = Bäume??? sicher? oder nochmal nachschlagen „VIeh-Weide“!
Therefore the animal
breeding, the fruit-growing and the growing of cereals is
playing a big role.

On the coast a lot of people live of
fishing.

Satzbau ungeschickt, live BY?

At next I present some things about the environment. This

…the anthem of New Zealand

What do you know about this wonderful island?

Neuseeland besteht aus zwei Inseln, daher unglückliche Formulierung

know why the inhabitants are called themselves “Kiwis”?
My name is (…) and today I’m going to talk about New Zealand.
I would like to close your knowledge gaps

Now I’d like to give you a short overview about the
presentation. My talk speech is divided into five parts. First of
all, I’m going to look at some basics.
