English(Aufsatz, Summary)

Hallo,

Many rotors on one shaft

The largest wind farms are the size of small towns. The towers have an altitude of 30 stories. The blades are as big as a wing of a Boeing 747. But there is one problem, manufacturing, transporting and installing them is very expensive and difficult.
The solution is, to capture more power with less material. This means you put a series of smaller rotors on the same shaft and with the same generator. A textbook says that you get most power from a single-rotor turbine, but Selsam means that is false. More rotors equals more power.
The clue is that each rotor catches its own wind and not just the wake. It is an optimal angle for the shaft in relation to the wind necessary and of course an ideal space between the rotors.
The profit is, that a machine, that uses one tenth of the blade material of one bigger machine to produce the same wattage.

Bis jetzt haben wir in der Schule 3 Aufsätze geschrieben: „Why would you like to live in USA(or not)“, „Why is education important?“ und „Is saving energy the best alternative?“

Zu Hause als übung habe ich 2 weitere Texte geschrieben: „Why young people get bigger?“ und „Is a life without computer and other technical things like iPad etc. imaginable?“

Und hier der Aufsatz „Why young people get bigger?“:
Teenagers tend to become more comfortable and instead eating more fresh cooked meals they go to Burger King, McDonalds or other chain of fast food outlets and eat there so-called “Fast-Food”. Generally fast food is a healthy food and doesn’t make you fat, but the food offered in those restaurants is very rich of calories and low in nutrition values. You can enjoy this food with metes and bounds, but our society and especially our children seem not to understand that fact. During school time in midday, instead of walking home and eating there or bringing their lunch with them to school, they prefer going to a fast food restaurant and eating there unhealthy food.
In addition to their bad diets they do a lot less sports than several years ago. The origin of this kind of food was America. Not for nothing America is the fattest country in the world. But who is to blame? Is it America or the big fast food chains who offer us bad kind of foods? We can’t walk around angrily holding our obese child’s hand and protest against them because it is our own fault. It is in our hands to teach our children about good foods and bad foods. It is in our hands to make them want to do sports. But we can’t just talk about the right things to do we have to show our children’s what is right and what is wrong with our own way of life. Our lives have to be an example for them. Children should be able to look back at their parents and their lives and get wisdom and inspiration out of it.
I think the parents have to take more responsibility. Parents should take their time to prepare healthy meals for school for their children. It is easier to influence their children then changing the whole world so it is safe for them.

Danke!

Many Rotors on One Shaft

The largest wind farms are the size of small towns. The towers have a HEIGHT of THIRTY STOREYS. The blades are as big as a wing of a Boeing 747. But there is one probleM: manufacturing, transporting and installing them ARE very expensive and difficult.
The solution iS to capture more power with less material. This means you put a series of smaller rotors on the same shaft and with the same generator. A textbook says that you get THE most power from a single-rotor turbine, but Selsam ARGUES?PROVES?SHOWS?CLAIMS that is false. More rotors equals more power.

The clue is that each rotor catches its own wind and not just the wake {Unklar, genau was Du meinst. „Wake“ ist die Luft oder Turbulenz, dass etc. nachlaesst} . It is SET AT an optimal angle for the shaft in relation to the wind XnecessaryX and Xof courseX PLACED AT an ideal between the rotors.

The BENEFIT/ADVANTAGE iS that SUCH a machinE XthatX uses one tenth of the blade material of Abigger machine to produce the same wattage.
