Ich hab mir jetzt das powermax runtergeladen und auspropiert.
Jetzt schreibet er mir den error code 664s57 raus.
Was heist das?

Users with Six (6) Digit Error Codes:
A six-digit code indicates that the drive is failing and should be replaced as soon as possible. The six-digit code is used as a validation code and will be required to obtain a return authorization (RMA). If you have a three-digit code please refer to the section at the end of this article.
Six-digit codes are used for failure validation only and a listing of these individual codes cannot be provided. Backup your data, if possible, and obtain a RMA, provided the drive is still under warranty. If your drive is no longer under warranty you should still consider replacing it with a new unit. Do not trust your data on a failing hard disk.

PowerMax Tests:
During testing, PowerMax displays a group of tests on the left side of the screen. The categories are a generalization of a group of tests that are associated with an area of functionality on the drive. PowerMax only displays a generalization of tests because of confidentiality concerns.

Garantiestatus checken, gegebenenfalls RMA ausfüllen, in Festplattenversandkarton packen (nur so nehmen die die Platte an) und als Eurobrief an Maxtor schicken (natürlich nur wenn’s ne Maxtor Platte ist, jemand anderes interessiert der Powermax Fehlercode auch nicht so recht). Wenn Garantie abgelaufen, Daten sichern & einkaufen gehen.
