es ist eine hausaufgabe vom leistungskurs englisch.
sagt mir bitte ob das so, wie ich es geschriebn habe in ordnung ist. tipps könntet ihr mir villeicht auch geben, damit ich in zukunft bessere texte schreibe.

American Beauty – Film Review
Director of the film ‘American Beauty’ is Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening and was published in the year 2000 on 8.May. The film is a dark comedy about sexuality, love, passion and hate which the spectator fascinates.
The film shows the dark side of an American family. Lester Burnham, a man lives with his wife Carolyn and his daughter Jane in the ideal American detached house in the suburbs. He has a bad relation with his wife. After a cheerleader competition at Jane’s school, he meets her daughter’s friend Angela and decides to change his life. Afterward, a new family which consist of an authoritarian man Frank Fitts, his wife which seems like speechless and their son Ricky Fitts move in to the neighbourhood. Firstly, Jane develops a happy friendship with Ricky and finally she fall in love with him.
Lester Burnham is married with Carolyn but they have a bad relationship and he continues his dead marriage to wife Carolyn for their daughter’s sake.
Carolyn Burnham’s life is developed around their career and tries to present the image that she has a wonderful relationship with his husband because she believes that she is forced not to show the problems of their private life to be successful.
Jane is a confused teenager which saves on a breast enlargement. It doesn’t seem to be considered at school, from there perhaps the desire for a breast enlargement.
Angela tries to presents herself to the outside as she is very content and that she is very self-confident therefore she tells a lot about her experiences with other boys but inside she is desperate which she admits later.
Ricky is a very successful dealer and likes to filming situations. In the course of the film, he films Jane with his camera, so he seems firstly very weirdly.
In my opinion, the film ‘American Beauty’ is very successful. On one hand, you see, if you have problems with your family or with your partner, you cannot have success in your career at the same time. On the other hand, it becomes clearer that some situations which seem to be perfect but there are always something behind it. Nothing is always how you see it from the outside but there is always something hidden inside.
I would prefer the film for parents who have also the same problems between their partners.
