Ich würde sagen: Pech gehabt. Der Hersteller benutzt ein neues nicht-standard Protokoll und es wird wohl nur Treiber für XP und evtl. Vista geben. Aber du bist in guter Gesellschaft, auf den Chip sind einige andere auch reingefallen: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2471242

Doch genau der ist es. An der Seite ist nur ein Slot, aber anscheinend so ein Multifunktionsslot. Ich habe allerdings nur eine SD-Card.

Neues Protokoll? Der Schleppi ist von Juli 04. Wer soll damit rechnen.

Mist. Meine Mail an den Hersteller wird ihn kaum interessieren. Trotzdem kriegt er sie.

Es müsste eine Wiki-Blacklist geben, in der man den ganzen Schmutz mal eintragen kann. Falls sich etwas ändert > Hinweis und nach 4 Monaten wird automatisch der komplette Eintrag gelöscht. Das ganze streng nach Hersteller sortiert. Und zudem sollte man Einträge per Mail abonnieren können.
Ich weiß immer nicht, wo ich alles suchen soll und grase über Stunden das Netz ab. EINE Anlaufstelle wäre da wirklich gut.

Steck mal eine SD Karte in den Slot dann mach eine root konsole auf,
darin gibst du ein „modprobe mmc_block“ (ohne") und Berichte was passiert.

Hallo Ingo,

da fehlt noch das Kernelmodul sdhci.
Mach nochmal ein modprobe sdhci und schau ob es dann geht.
Am besten das Modul laden und nochmal die SD raus und wieder reinstecken.

PS : wie läuft VirualBox mit der SuSE ?

da fehlt noch das Kernelmodul sdhci.
Mach nochmal ein modprobe sdhci und schau ob es dann geht.

leider passiert auch nichts. D.h. ich schaue nur, ob die Karte auf dem Desktop erscheint und da erscheint sie nicht.

ls -lR /lib/modules/2.6.18\*|grep -i sdhci
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27697 2007-03-11 22:17 sdhci.ko

Sagt Dir das was? Den Befehl habe ich aus dem Netz gefischt.

PS : wie läuft VirtualBox mit der SuSE ?

Nun, mit 512MB lief VB unter Gnome sehr ruckelig und langsam.
Mit fvwm lief es 1A. Und mit 1G RAM läuft es auch unter Gnome 1A. In der Konfiguration muss man den RAN zwischen den Betriebssystemen aufteilen und bei 512MB blieb für beide zuwenig übrig.
USB wird nicht erkannt und natürlich der SD-Card-Reader auch nicht.

Hmmmm:wink:

Schau mal mit mount aus einer konsole was da auftaucht.
Da sollte in etwa sowas stehen :
/dev/mmcblk0p1 on /media/CANON_DC type vfat (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,noatime,uid=1000,utf8,shortname=lower)

oder mal versuchen manuell zu mounten.
Dazu musst aber erst wissen wie das Device heißt (könnte auch sdx sein ).

Hier geht das mit diesem SD Controller ohne Probleme
01:01.2 Generic system peripheral [0805]: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 17)

Allerdings mit einem neueren Kernel unter Debian.

Vielleicht könnte ein Kernelupdate helfen.
Schau mal bei SuSE ob es einen neueren Kernel gibt.

Falls das Ding erkannt wird taucht es 2-3x beim „find /dev/disk“ auf.
