On March 19 and 20, 2005 our hotel was officially inaugurated in the presence of numerous guests of honour and friends.
honour guests ist auf jedenfall falsch, das waere ‚guests of honour‘;
und ich finde es den richtigen Ausdruck hier, obwohl „Honoratioren“ eigentlich mit ‚dignitaries‘ richig uebersetzt waere.
‚several‘ (=ein paar) sind weniger als ‚numerous‘ (zahlreich).
Du kannst die Substantivkonstruktion (the inaug. took place)
lassen, im Allgemeinen wird eine Verbalkonstruktion
(was inaugurated) vorgezogen.
Datum wird ohne Artikel geschrieben (aber nicht gesprochen).
Und wenn es nicht britisch sondern amerikanisches Englisch
ist, muss es natuerlich ‚honor‘ heissen - was du mit
‚dignitaries‘ auch umgehen wuerdest.
