WiFi-Hotsync geht ohne Zusatzsoftware, allerdings muss man zuerst den Netzwerkzugang konfigurieren, ansonsten erscheint WLAN nicht in der Auswahlliste.

Follow this procedure to manually configure the handheld for a PalmTM HotSync® operation through a wireless IEEE 802.11b access point connection.
IMPORTANT:
Download and install all appropriate handheld updates from the Sony® CLIÉ® Handheld Support web site at http://www.sony.com/peg/support.
Ensure the handheld software has been installed before configuring the handheld for a PalmTM HotSync® operation.
The handheld can also be setup and configured for wireless connections using the Mobile Connection Wizard software.
On the computer, in the taskbar, click the HotSync® Manager [FIG. 1] icon.
On the HotSync® Manager menu, ensure Network is selected.
Click Setup.
In the Setup window, click the Network tab.
In the Checked users make this their Primary PC for performing a Network HotSync operation box, click to select the appropriate user.
Click the TCP/IP Settings button.
In the TCP/IP Settings window, next to Primary PC Address, note the computer address.
Next to Subnet Mask (Optional), note the subnet mask.
Click the OK button.
In the Setup window, click the OK button.
On the handheld, press the BACK button until the CLIÉ 3D Launcher [FIG. 2] window is displayed.
Turn the Jog Dial until Prefs is selected.
In the CLIÉ 3D Launcher window, tap the Prefs icon.
In the Preferences window, in the upper-right corner, tap the down arrow and tap to select Network.
In the Network window, next to Service, tap the down arrow and tap to select Wireless LAN.
Tap the Details button.
In the Wireless LAN Setup window, tap the Scan button.
In the Access Points window, tap to select the desired access point.
Tap the Select button.
In the WEP Key window, enter an appropriate Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) key.
NOTE: The WEP Key window will not appear if a WEP key is not required to connect to the access point.
Tap the OK button.
In the Wireless LAN Setup window, in the Graffiti2 Writing Area [FIG. 3], tap the menu icon.
On the SSID menu, tap Edit.
In the SSID Setup window, next to IP address, tap to clear the box.
In the IP Address window, next to IP address, enter an available IP address in the same IP range as the computer.
NOTE: If the IP address of the computer is 192.168.0.50, an IP address in the same range would be 192.168.0.51.
Next to Netmask, enter the same subnet mask as the computer.
NOTES:
Additional entries may also be needed for the Router, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS, depending on the computer configuration requirements.
Please contact the system administrator for additional information regarding the appropriate IP address, Netmask, Router, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS settings.
In the IP Address window, tap the OK button.
In the SSID Setup window, tap the Connect button.
On the handheld, press the BACK button until the CLIÉ 3D Launcher [FIG. 2] window is displayed.
Turn the Jog Dial until HotSync is selected.
In the CLIÉ 3D Launcher window, tap the HotSync icon.
In the HotSync window, tap the Menu [FIG. 3] icon.
On the Options menu, tap to select PrimaryPC Setup.
In the PrimaryPC Setup window, below Primary PC Name, enter two exclamation mark symbols (!!).
Below Primary PC Address, enter the IP address of the computer.
Below Subnet Mask, enter the appropriate information.
Tap the OK button.
On the Handheld, tap the Menu [FIG. 3] icon.
On the Options menu, tap Modem Sync Prefs.
In the ModemSync Preferences window, tap the Network button.
