How to change the language for websites that come up in the french language only, to change to come

hallo. i am using windows 7 and use the internet explorer - google, when i am searching for something. however, i do live in france and i wanted to access a website called „Eurosport Player“, but it always turned up in the french language, which of course i cannot read. there is nowhere on the website where one can change to a different language. my son told me, that on windows one can program the computer to show the webpages i visit only in the english language. i do not know where and how to set my windows to do this. can someone maybe help me with this problem?
many thxs.

Hi

i do live in france

That’s the problem: the server thinks a french speaking person is surfing the site. This information is associated with the IP-adress given by the provider. Anyway, a change in the proxy settings might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server

Kind regards

Hi

Websites such as ‚Eurosport Player‘ with streams of TV programs are usually checking by the ip-address, from which country you are coming and lead you automatically to the appropriate local version, in your case to the french site.

Other similar sites do not work at all, i.e. the BBC player sites, if you are outside of their country. As there are legal restrictions.

Maybe, you can contact the responsible people, if you click on the link ‚Aide‘ at the bottom of the site. ‚Aide‘ is french for ‚Help‘. The FAQs are in english and maybe, you find already some information by reading them.

Try also this site: http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/
