Hallo,
ich habe einen gebrauchten HP ProCurve 2424M Switch bekommen. Jetzt habe ich damit das Problem, dass ich die IP-Adresse des Switchs nicht kenne. Die bräuchte ich aber um über das Netzwerk auf den Switch zuzugreifen. Das sollte laut der Bedienungsanleitung die ich im Netz gefunden hab gehen. Da ich leider kein Consolenkabel habe (serielle Schnittstelle) wäre es mir ganz lie, wenn ich auch so auf das Gerät zugreifen könnte.
Kann ich die IP-Adresse irgendwie raus bekommen?
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit den Switch auf die Werkseinstellungen zurück zu setzen und dann über eine Standard-IP darauf zuzugreifen?
Für die Hilfe danke ich im Voraus.

_Restoring the Factory Default
Configuration
As part of your troubleshooting process, it may become necessary to return
the switch configuration to the factory default settings. This process momen-
tarily interrupts the switch operation, clears any passwords, clears the console
event log, resets the network counters to zero, performs a complete self test,
and reboots the switch into its factory default configuration including deleting
an IP address.
To execute the factory default reset, perform these steps:
- Using pointed objects, simultaneously press both the Reset and Clear
buttons on the front of the switch.
- Continue to press the Clear button while releasing the Reset button.
- When the Self Test LED begins to flash, release the Clear button.
The switch will then complete its self test and begin operating with the
configuration restored to the factory default settings._
