Indirect Speech: questions

Hallo zusammen!
ich soll die Fragen in indirekte Rede umformulieren, das Problem ist ich weis nicht wieso ich die Zeit ändern muss und in welche Zeit ich verändern muss.
-Ist das immer die gleiche Zeit in die ich Umstellen muss?
-Und was passier mit Zeitangaben? („yesterday“ wird zu „the day before“)
-Gibt es noch mehr solche Zeitangaben - Veränderungen?

When are you coming back? I asked them
I asked them when she came back.

Is a return ticket cheaper than two singles? Said my aunt.
My aunt said, whether a return ticket to be cheaper than two singles?

Do puppies travel free? Asked a clog owner
A clog owner asked, whether puppies did travel free?

Can I bring my dog into the compartment whit me? She asked.
She ask, whether she could bring her dog into the compartment whit her.

Does this train stop at York? Asked Bill
Bill asked whether this train did stop at York.

Can you telephone from inter-city trains? Said the businessman.
The businessman says, whether I could telephone from inter-city trains.

Does the 2.40 have a restaurant car? He enquired.
He enquired whether the 2.40 did have a restaurant car.

Can you get coffee on the train? Asked my aunt.
My aunt asked, whether I could get coffee on the train.

Do they bring it round on a trolley? She said
She said; whether they did bring it round on a trolley.

Are there smoking compartments? Said the man with the pipe.
The man with the pipe said whether there were smoking compartments.

Have you reserved a seat? I asked him.
I asked him whether he had reserved a seat.

  • clog = dog (I assume)

—A dog owner asked whether puppies travelled free (of charge).

Can I bring my dog into the compartment whit me? She asked.

  • (War das vorgegeben? – ich würde eher “take” nehmen….
    She asked whether she could bring her dog into the compartment with her.

---- She asked, if she could bring/take her dog into the compartment (with her).

Does this train stop at York? Asked Bill
Bill asked whether this train did stop at York.

---- Bill asked whether/if this train stopped in York

Die indirekte Rede ist tückisch, vielleicht hat Dein Lehrer es auch nicht so richtig/transparent erklärt (?)

Mein Lehrer hat es gar nicht erklärt, die meinte es gäbe in dem Buch eine Seite bzw. ein Unit hat das Unit vorgelesen und das wars. :frowning: (ich schaffe das niemals -bis -zur Klausur schon garnicht bei diesen sätzen.)
