Installationsprobleme

hallo leute!
habe linux im großen und ganzen erst vor etwa einem halben jahr entdeckt, und kenne mich dementsprechend gut aus damit :frowning: also überhaupt nicht…
als ich meinen laptop neu aufgesetzt habe (mit ubuntu 9.04, gnome), habe ich natürlich auch gewisse anwendungen installiert.
bei der installation von openJDK java6 runtime ist mir dann mein komplettes system eingestürzt. seit dem kann ich nichts mehr installieren, egal was es ist (z.B. keinen flashplayer!!!). java programmieren + programme kompilieren funktioniert komischerweise.

Folgende Fehlermeldung tritt auf, wenn ich etwas installieren möchte:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run ‚sudo dpkg --configure -a‘ to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Hoffe irgendjemand kann mir helfen. Habe wirklich überhaupt keine Ahnung, wie ich diesen Fehler beheben soll.

Hast du das denn schon mal gemacht:

run ‚sudo dpkg --configure -a‘

Ich versteh nicht ganz, was „The file should be owned by root.root an be copied to /tmp“ bedeuten soll.

Brauchst du die Dokumentation? Doch üblicherweise nicht, das JDK an sich ist installiert und sollte i. d. R. ausreichen (die Doku benötigst du lokal eigentlich nur, wenn du an einem Offline-Arbeitsplatz entwickelst).

Ich würde hier

daher aborten.

Nach dem Download verschiebst du die Datei nach /tmp (dort sucht der Installer danach) und änderst mit ‚chown root:root /tmp/dateiname‘ in einer zweiten Shell den Besitzer. Anschliessend kannst du den Installer fortfahren lassen. Ahaaber: Der Installer will JDK Update 10, aktuell ist Update 13. Ob du U10 bei Sun noch ohne weiteres downloaden kannst, ist eher zweifelhaft. Was wieder zu meinem ersten Vorschlag führt: Abort.

danke vielmals. hab tatsächlich die u10 version gefunden. jetzt funktioniert auf jeden fall alles wieder normal!
