IP-Adresse geht auf iana.org

Hallo,

jetzt muss ich doch mal nachfragen, da ich dieses „Problem“ schon öfters hatte. Ich geben bei ripe.net eine IP-Adresse ein und bekomme dann als Ergebnis das folgende:

Es handelt sich dabei um eine IP-Adresse aus dem 66er-Netz (66.x.x.x).

Was soll mir dieses Ergebnis sagen? Funktioniert ripe.net nur, wenn die IP-Adresse auch online bzw. erreichbar ist?

Wie kann ich denn sonst rausfinden, auf welchen Provider eine IP-Adresse zurückgeht?

RIPE ist ja auch nur fuer die IP#s im Grossraum Europa zustaendig. Sie haben von der IANA einen Adressraum zugewiesen bekommen, aus dem sie vergeben duerfen. 66.0.0.0/8 gehoert offensichtlich nicht dazu, deshalb verweist RIPE auf IANA. Der Adressraum wird von der ARIN, dem amerikanischen Pendant zu RIPE verwaltet.
