also ich würde es ein wenig umformulieren:
„The 3rd of January I read chapter one and I must admit, that I found it a little bit boring,caused by a missing curious storyline“

korrekt würde der Satz so lauten:
I read Chapter 1 on 3 January and I found this chapter a little bit boring because nothing special happened.
Im oberen Satz wurden nur die Rechtschreibfehler berichtigt. Vom Ausdruck her würde man jedoch vor allem das Datum anders darstellen (siehe unterer Satz). Auch vom Ausdruck her wäre folgende Variante besser :
I read Chapter 1 on the 3rd of January. I found this chapter somewhat boring, as nothing interesting happened in it.
Sicherlich ist hier auch wichtig, ob die Aussage von einem Kind oder einem Erwachsenen stammt, da „somewhat“ sprachlich doch eher in den Sprachgebrauch eines Erwachsenen gehört.
