habe ich im Einband entdeckt,
dass scheinbar zwei „Fortsetzungen“ von einer Autorin namens
Emma Tennant existieren
dabei handelt es sich um diese Dame: http://www.canongate.net/EmmaTennant .
„Pemberly“ und „Die Erben
von Pemberly“.
Kennt jemand von Euch diese Bücher und sind sie
empfehlenswert?
Ich kenne die Bücher nicht, und nachdem ich die Kritiken auf der von Gudrun verlinkten (dort: http://janeausten.ja.funpic.de/buecher/adaptionen/p&…
und http://janeausten.ja.funpic.de/buecher/adaptionen/p&…) und einigen anderen Seiten überflogen habe, wird das wohl auch so bleiben 
Noch ein paar Auszüge aus englischen Rezensionen:
…Emma Tennant’s ignorance of Jane Austen is so monumental that it takes my breath away…
…I don’t know if Emma Tennant has read Pride and Prejudice or if she has read a different version because this certainly didn’t ring true of any of the orginal characters in the book. […] A disgrace to the characters, the original novel and the authoress herself…
…It wasn’t uncommonly bad, it just really didn’t seem to adhere to the mannerisms of the characters. This book could have been written using anyone as the focus, and most probably, would fit many other people much better than it fit Jane Austen’s creations…
