The following text is a summary of the 82nd chapter of the novel “Twelve” by Nick McDonell.
In the 82nd chapter White Mike takes a walk on New Year’s Eve trough New York and thinks about flying and his favourite birds, the parrots. First White Mike gets in a cab and when he got out again he goes into a bookstore. As he comes out of the bookstore, Timmy and Mark Rothko stop him and want to buy drugs. Mike suggests that they can get the drugs later but Timmy and Mark want the drugs at this moment so they follow him. Mike gets annoyed and tells both they’ll get a special deal when they leave him alone. Both agree, but a few seconds later they follow Mike to his house and he doesn’t notice it because he’s drinking a milk-shake. When Mike noticed that they followed him, he is angry and tells Timmy and Mark that they won’t get any weed from him again, but then he thinks about how it would be when Mark and Timmy tell the other kids where he lives and how it would be when all the kids are waiting in front of his house to buy drugs, Mike allows Mark and Timmy to get in his house. After they got their weed, they’re talking about parrots and which name would be a good name for that parrot which Mike wants to buy. Mike likes the name “Snoop” but then Timmy and Mark started to sing and Mike was pissed and tells them to go. When they were gone Mike was thinking about adults and at this moment he gets a message on his telephone but he doesn’t answer.
