… in einem hochinteressanten Buch über den Vietnam-Krieg (Bernd Greiner: Krieg ohne Fronten. Hamburger Edition 2007.) fand ich folgende Stufen der schriftlichen Abmahnung in der amerikanischen Armee (zumindest z.Z. des Vietnam-Kriegs):
o „Letters of Censure“
o „Letters of Admonition“
o „Letters of Reprimand“

Deutsche Entsprechungen kenne ich nicht, deutsche Übersetzungsvorschläge werden in dem Buch auch nicht geliefert.

Einfach nur reine Neugierde:
Kann da jemand eine irgendwie sinngemäße Übersetzungshilfe anbieten? Vielleicht ein Muttersprachler?
Mein englisch/amerikanisch ist da einfach zu dürftig.

der Übersetzung nach, Tadel - Ermahnung - Verweis, würde ich das der Steigerung wegen grob ins deutsche als erste, zweite und dritte Abmahnung setzen.

Wobei es dazu einen genauen Katalog gibt was welche „Anschissstufe“ bedeutet und nach sich zieht.

Eine Rüge z.B. wird für eine militärische Karriere kaum schaden(meist Kleinigkeit wie Zapfenstreich überzogen, oder so), eine Ermahnung, da kommts darauf an wofür’s die gab und bei einem Reprimand kann man gleich anfangen Bewerbungen zu schreiben… Was aber auch schwierig wird weil der Letter of Reprimand am Zeugnis dranhängt.

-L of Censure - „letter issued to military personnel who have been accused of misdeeds. Punitive letter that remains in the officer’s file. It is considered a blow to the officer’s career.“
-L of Reprimand - „letter issued to military personnel who have been accused of misdeeds. Punitive punishment admonishing the officer involved for offenses committed. It outlines the offenses … committed in stern language… A punitive letter enetered in the officer’s record will have impact for selection and promotion purposes. The letter of reprimand has a dilatory effect on an officer’s career.“
