Mandrake 9.1 - Sound geht nicht

Hallo Ihr Wisser,

weiterhin mein Kampf mit dem Pinguin -

ich habe Mandrake jetzt zum vierten mal - oder so - installiert. Die ersten zwei Male hat es meine Soundkarte - ESS Maestro - anscheinend richtig erkannt und automatisch zum funktionieren gebracht (das heisst, ich hab was gehört). Jetzt aber hat das nicht geklappt (das heisst, ich hör nix). Im system log (oder so) steht

Unter Windows2000 geht der Sound (na ja, ist halt auch ein gutes System :wink:). Was mach ich dass es unter Linux auch geht?

Das ist merkwürdig.

Tipp als root mal „modprobe maestro3“ ein.

kriege ich beim booten diese Nachricht

Hat vielleicht was mit Maestro zu tun?

Sorry, gerade nicht. Ich verstehe nicht, weshalb er die Module als kompromierte Version (gz) laden will. Das kenne ich zumindest nicht.

Ist das ein vielleicht Mandrakeismus? Egal.

Was sagt „locate maestro3“?

Hi Sebastian,

ich habe jetzt mal alles neu installiert (wie bei Windows98, einfach alle Daten weg und neu anfangen) und jetzt geht es. Warum - keine Ahnung, aber der Sound ist da.

Vielleicht schreibe ich noch was über dieses vergnügliche Betriebssystem.
