Wir haben gerade im Englischunterricht ‚Of Mice and Men‘ gelesen und sollen morgen unsere Bewertung des Buches abgeben. Meine Bewertung schaut folgendermaßen aus:
I have to admit that I didn’t enjoy reading ‚Of Mice and Men‘ and I probably wouldn’t read it voluntarily.I found neither the book’s story nor the characters very absorbing. Even though I tried to read the book concientiously, I quite often zoned out with my mind and started thinking about something else while I was actually still reading the text. I also found it rather annoying that the characters of the book speak English badly and with a lot of slang influence. Although it is easy to understand what they mean, it is not very motivating, considered that I would rather like to learn proper English. Another thing that didn’t please my about the text was the Steinbeck tends to describe places and characters too extensively. In a way it can be useful but they way Steinbeck is using I found too extensive.
Kann mir jemand - mal ganz vom Inhalt meiner Bewertung abgesehen - meine Bewertung auf Fehler überprüfen und mir gegebenenfalls Vorschläge machen, wie ich mich besser ausdrücken kann?
Wenn ich nämlich schon so über das Buch ablästere, will ich dem Lehrer wenigstens einen richtigen Text abliefern… XD
