ABORIGINE CLAIMS BRITAIN!

Wearing tribal paint and an anorak to protect himself against the English weather, Burnum Burnum, an Australian Aborigine, palnted a flag on Folkestone beach and claimed for his people. „I, Burnum Burnum,“ he said to television cameras, „a noble man of ancient Australia take possession of Britain for the Aboriginal people. In claiming this land, we wish no harm to you natives.“
Mr Burnum looked a lonley figure with his black, red and yellow flag. No invaders followed him, and the English did not come out to defend their country.

On the same day on the other side of the world it was the Australian national holiday, Australia Day, and white Australians were celebrating the 200th birthday of their country. In Sydney harbour, an estimated two million people welcomed the eleven ships that re-enactes the arrival of the first English colonists, mostly prisoners, who landed there on January 26th, 1788.
At the other end of the city more than 20,000 Aborigines and their supporters marched trough the streets with spears and boomerangs to protest about the way their socciety and culture have been almost destroyed since the arrival of the first Europeans. January 26th is known as „Invasion Day“ by the Aborigines.

Hallo Daniel

  1. Warum kommt „Burnum Burnum“ am 26. Januar 1988 nach
    England?

Er beansprucht (to claim) Britain und nimmt es für die Aborigines in Besitz.

  1. Was möchte er damit zeigen/demonstriern??
