Der neue Netscape zeigt eine neu eingegangene Mail wie weiter unten erwähnt nur an, wenn das Programm nsnotify.exe gestartet wurde. Ohne dieses Programm zeigt Netscape den Eingang einer neuen Mail nur mit einem grünen Pfeil am Messenger-Symbol an. Dies ist allerdings auch hilfreich, da man dieses Symbol ja auch beim Surfen sieht. Es besteht also gar kein Grund, den AIM zu installieren.
