Good evening!
Americans speak T-Moubl instead of T-Moubail. Could somebody please explain the different pronunciations?
Thanx
FJ
Dear Franz,
I suppose some Americans just don’t pronounce it correctly. Canadians for example use nearly the same pronunciation as Americans and they pronounce mobile as moubail.
I know this doesn’t answer the question but sometimes there are no explanations. Americans from the southern states speak differently than those from the northern states. That’s language!
Have a nice evening,
Christina
mispronunciation or slang?
Dear Franz,
The Americans I came in contact with pronounced ‘mobile’ (i. e. German ‘Handy’ or ‘beweglich’) like we do (‘moubail’), as well as an sales representative of ‘T-Mobile’ I met in Nashville did.
‘Moubl’ may be a mispronunciation or slang.(?)
Best wishes,
Florian
