ich versuche gerade, mein Handy und mein Notebook per IrDA zu verbinden und scheitere kläglich.
- Habe IrDA am Handy aktiviert.
- Habe Siemans Data Exchange Software installiert.
Deren Hilfe sagt, Hardware Device hinzufügen. Irgendwann kann ich die Hardwarekomponente auswählen und nehme „Infrarotgeräte“.-- Ich entscheide mich für Standardinfrarotgerät, weil die Namen in der Liste mir nichts sagen. Außerdem „integriertes Infrarotgerät“, denn ein Kabel will ich ja nicht benutzen. - Klicke ich dann auf OK, kommt eine Fehlermeldung.
- Wenn ich dann abbreche, verschwindet die Verbindung, die irgendwann zwischendurch auftaucht (bei den laufenden Prozessen).
Wie kann ich die Verbindung stabil herstellen?

You can enable infrared connectivity through the following steps:
Connect the new IrDA device to the appropriate port on your PC.
· Open the Control Panel by going to Start | Settings | Control Panel and start the hardware wizard under the Hardware tab after double-clicking on the System icon.
· Note the information contained in the Device Manager and click Next.
· Accept the selected option by clicking Next (Windows 2000 only).
· Select the option Add a new device and click Next (Windows 2000 only).
· Close the automatic hardware detection by clicking Next (Windows 98 SE, Windows ME).
· Select No, the device is not included in the list and click Next.
· Select Infrared devices or Other devices from the list of hardware types and click Next.
· Select the manufacturer or Infrared COM port and device type and click Next.
· Select the port to which you have connected your IrDA component and click Next.
· Click Finish and restart your PC.
Set the Data Exchange software to IrDA communication by selecting Workstation | Mobile | Properties | Port | IrDA in the Explorer and confirm with „OK".)
