Weiss jemand was „shooting the breeze“ bedeutet? Etwa, nur herumgondeln, ohne bestimmtes Programm sein?

Mein LDCE sagt das:
„having a light conversation“ (American Slang):
Hank and Gus were shooting the breeze while Chuck poured the drinks.

Auf gut neudeutsch: ein wenig Smalltalk machen, locker plaudern.

shoot the breeze / bull (AmE, informal) to have a conversation in an informal way: We sat around in the bar, shooting the breeze.
