Ich schreibe gerade an einem Paper über die probleme des 21. Jh., und da ich das auf Englisch tue ) fehlt mir gerade ein Wort. Hier mal der Kontext:

Da wo jetzt killing steht sind hätte ich gerne ein etwas kreativeres Wort als „kill“, einfach etwas treffenderes…

wie waers, wenn du den Satz etwas herumdrehst, die Leute zum
Subjekt machst und sagst „…and where many people - also
children - still die of AIDS and lack of food“.
ich wuerde aich das „then“ (5. Wort) weglassen, du hast ja schon
„on the other hand“ gesagt. Und is there really a NEED for
people to bear children? das klingt nach einem Widerspruch.
Meinst du vielleicht, people have to cope with more children?
Aber das ist vielleicht aus dem Kontext gerissen, deshalb klingt
es hier etwas seltsam, im Zusammenhang mag es Sinn ergeben.

Since there is no developed society in place with a social insurance system that takes care of people when they need it, the children traditionally take this role. The rest of this thought is up to you, then, but it shows that the problem is far more complex than just stating that population growth needs to be reduced.
