Ich hab ein Problem und zwar verstehe ich die Übersetzung von der Definition von ´´Flattery´´nicht ganz.

´´Flattery is telling the other person precisely what he thinks about himself.´´

Wäre wirklich nett, wenn es jemand übersetzen könnte.

Flattery ist Kompliment / Schmeichelei

Schmeicheln heißt, dem anderen genau das zu sagen, was er selbst über sich denkt (wörtlich: … was er über sich selbst denkt).
