Das BIOS von einem neuen HP Vectra VE310 Computer bietet mir die Möglichkeit, von einem
IBA 4.0.19 Slot 0108
zu booten.

IBA steht für Intel Boot Agent. Mit Hilfe dieser Vorrichtung scheint man in der Lage zu sein, einen Rechner aus einem Netzwerk heraus booten zu lassen. Intel schreibt dazu:
„The Intel® Boot Agent is a software product that allows your networked client computer to boot using a program code image supplied by a remote server. PC vendors can implement the Intel Boot Agent to accommodate various environments and protocols.“

Für einen Einzelplatzrechner ist diese Option somit nichts.
