Solution

This issue is related to a missing DLL extension file necessary to load the Dell DataSafe or the Alien Respawn program installed in the system. To correctly fix this issue follow the next steps:

  1. Find „Dell DataSafe Local Backup“ within your Program Files (as an example: „C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell DataSafe Local Backup“) If you do not have it under this name look for the Alien Respawn instead.

  2. Locate the file “STLog.dll” in this directory.

  3. COPY the file (do not move or cut the file, as this will cause many more issues)

  4. Once you copied the file, Find the folder named “scheduler” (as an example: „C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\Components\scheduler“ and open the folder.

  5. Finally, paste the file in to this directory, and then, restart the system.
    P.S. If this does not fix the issue when you restart the system again, please look for the following files in the latest system location (scheduler) and copy all missing files that it could be missed:

STStringArray.dll
LibXml2.dll
zlib1.dll
STFiles.dll
STRegistry.dll
STPE.dll
