Was heißt eigentlich auf Englisch „auf dem Land leben“ (im Sinne von abseits der großen Städte)? Heißt das „to live on the countryside“?
Und wenn man dort hinzieht? Etwa „to move into the countryside“?
Und was heißt „Landflucht“ bzw. „Stadtflucht“ auf Englisch?
Mein Englischlehrer hat mir heute ein Referat aufgetragen und dessen Thema ist „City vs. Country“ bezogen auf die Vereinigten Staaten.

PS: Natürlich verlange ich nicht, dass ihr mir die Hausaufgaben macht, aber wenn jemand Vorschlage hat, über welche Interessanten ich darin schreiben könnte, dann wäre ich dafür sehr dankbar! :o)

Nein. Es heißt: to live in the country.
ODER
to live in the countryside
Und wenn man dort hinzieht? Etwa „to move into the
countryside“?
Wenn es Yuppies sind, sagt man: to go rural.
Sonst: I am going to move to the country.
Und was heißt „Landflucht“ bzw. „Stadtflucht“ auf Englisch?
Muss man umschreiben:
migration into the cities / migration to the country(side)

Just a few thought off the top of my head:
Usually, people migrate to the cities when they
need work. Cities offer a better cultural scene. Usually
people move to the cities when they want to better themselves.
On the other hand, people migrate to the country when they
have succeeded already and want to opt out of the rat race.
