Ich habe mit WinZip für Windows dateien gepackt. Nun möchte ich die zum Download ins WWW stellen.
Könnte nun auch ein Linux-Benutzer etwas mit der Zip-Dateien anfangen ?
Ich möchte zusätzlich sagen, welches Programm man zum Entpacken benutzen kann, und einen Link auf die Download-Seite setzen.

Deine Auflistung war zwar ganz toll, aber dennoch hat es leider nicht so ganz meine Frage beantwortet.
Zwar habe ich gesehen, dass es ganz doll viele Packprogramme gibt,
doch garantiert mir die Endung .zip auch wirklich einen Standart ? Es gibt viele Programme, die .zip-Dateien erzeugen. Ist dieses Packformat denn auch wirklich immer kompatibel zu einander ?
Da Du weiter nichts geschrieben hast, gehe ich mal davon aus, dass zumindest das WinZip-Format von den ueblichen Packprogrammen unter Linux akzeptiert wird.

Sebastian wollte damit, auch wenn er es etwas ausschweifend und vielleicht auch ungeschickt ausgedrückt hat, „Ja“ sagen.
Pack’s mit Winzip, stell’s ins Netz und die Linux-User werden keine Probleme haben.
