Xine unter SuSE 8.1 - esd-Problem

Hallo,
ich versuche xine 0.4.3 auf SuSE 8.1 zum Laufen zu bringen.
Runtergeladen, entpackt, und das configure bringt:

checking for ESD - version \>= 0.2.8... no
\*\*\* The esd-config script installed by ESD could not be found
\*\*\* If ESD was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
\*\*\* your path, or set the ESD\_CONFIG environment variable to the
\*\*\* full path to esd-config.
\*\*\* All of ESD dependent parts will be disabled \*\*\*

Esound ist da:

esd -v
Esound version 0.2.28

ESD_CONFIG setzen bringt nix.

./configure --with-esd-prefix=/usr/bin

…auch nicht.
Hat noch jemand eine Idee?

esd-config auch?

Das bedeutet, dass das Entwicklungspaket zu esd fehlt. Das sollte aber im Normalfall nicht zu tragisch sein, wenn sonst irgendein Soundsystem zur Verfügung steht. Soweit ich weiss unterstützt xine auch noch OSS und ALSA. Wenn die Meldung oben die einzige in der Art ist, kannst du sie ruhig ignorieren. Im Allgemeinen läuft das ganze sowieso bessoer, wenn kein Sound-Daemon im Weg steht, die Dinger sorgen nur dafür, dass Ton und Bild asynchron laufen.

Nein, esd-config ist auch da, und esound-devel hab ich nachinstalliert.
Die Warnmeldungen bleiben, schlimmer sind dann die richtigen Fehler beim make.

Aber wahrscheinlich liegt das Problem ganz woanders, nämlich der Soundkarte (SIS 7012) - die will weder mit ALSA noch mit OSS.
Vermutlich muß ich das Problem erstmal lösen.
