Ich möchte diesen Satz in einer Hausarbeit zitieren, brauche dafür aber einen Quellenverweis.
Kann mir da jemand helfen?

Welcher Quellennachweis schwebt dir denn so vor?

Ah, alleine die Antwort war schon gut. Es ist nicht nur blöd, keine Quelle angeben zu können. Viel blöder ist es, auch noch falsch zu zitieren. Auf das (falsche) Zitat bin ich übrigens durch einen Prof gekommen (der kennt die genaue Quelle leider auch nicht), der es als Leitzitat für sein Skript gewählt hat. Da kann ich nur hoffen, der Rest des Skriptes ist korrekt *g*.
Welcher Quellennachweis schwebt dir denn so vor?
Am besten die Rede oder den Aufsatz oder Zeitungsartikel oder was auch immer, in der er den Spruch gesagt hat.
Evtl. könnte aber auch eine Zitatsammlung herhalten.

Interessant aber ist, dass es gar nicht 100%ig gesichert ist, dass dieser Ausspruch tatsächlich von A. Lincoln stammt. Allerdings findest du jede Menge Zitateseiten im Netz, die ihn Lincoln zuordnen…eine moderne Legende vielleicht?
