Zuverlässiger POS Touchscreen oder Mini-PC mit Monitor für Dauerbetrie

Hallo zusammen,

I’ve worked with both setups (all-in-one POS systems and mini-PC + touchscreen combinations), and from my experience, it really depends on how intensively the system will be used.

For environments where the system runs many hours daily, a mini-PC combined with industrial touchscreen monitor is often the more stable and flexible solution. The main advantage is that you can upgrade or replace components individually, which makes maintenance easier in the long run.

In terms of reliability, industrial touchscreens are usually designed for continuous operation and harsher conditions. They tend to offer better touch accuracy over time and are less sensitive to dust, temperature changes, or heavy usage compared to typical consumer-grade displays.

All-in-one POS systems, on the other hand, are more compact and easier to deploy, but if one component fails, the whole unit may need servicing or replacement.

Regarding Windows performance, a dedicated mini-PC often gives you more control over hardware specs, which can be beneficial if you’re running demanding POS software.

From what I’ve seen, solutions like industrial touchscreen monitors used in combination with a reliable mini-PC can be a solid long-term investment, especially if uptime and durability are priorities.

Curious to hear what others here are using in similar setups

A quick note: firstly, you just answered yourself, and secondly, you seem to have accidentally included a product link in your article. Since advertising is not permitted here, I’ve removed the link. Furthermore, I suggest that for your next attempt at advertising, you use separate user accounts for questions and answers. We’ll still notice the advertising, of course, but at least it will be less embarrassing.
