Auf einen Informationsblatt habe ich als Hobby neben „fishing“ und „girl scouts“ „4-H“ gelesen. Ich habe überhuapt keine Ahnung, was das sein könnte. Weiß es vielleicht jemand von euch?

Hallo,
4-H ist eine amerikanische Jugendorganisation. Ausgeschrieben heisst das Ganze „Head, Heart, Hands and Health“. Ist so eine Art Jugenderziehungsprogramm im Stil der Pfadfinder für Kinder und Jugendliche von 5-21. 4-H behauptet von sich, die Elite von Morgen zu trainieren.

Es ist meistens laendlich–Die Jungs und Maedls praesentieren stolz ihre Schaffe, Kuehe, usw. auf die County Fairs. In Staedten scheint es eher „fuer“ die Maedls.

Es wuerde mich ueberraschen, ob die Gruender/Leiter von 4-H glauben, eine Elite zu bauen. Eher solide Buerger vom guten Character, die Nuetzliches tun koennen.
