Englisch Grammatik, kann mir jemand helfen?

Ich schreibe nächste Woche einen Grammatiktest, und habe folgenede Aufgabe zur Übung, leider bin ich absolut kein Ass wenn es um Grammatik in Englisch geht. Kann mir jemand die richtigen Zeiten nennen, dass ich mir die Aufgabe (hoffentlich richtig) einprägen kann? Danke im vorraus :smile:

  1. In 2006 Jack Dorsey (create)_______ Twitter.
  2. Before such People (set up) _______ social networking sites we (not have) _______ any way of communicating easily.
  3. Many people believe that the changes in communication technology (improve)______ the qualityof our lives in the future.

Abgeschlossene Ereignisse wie dieses erfordern die Past simple.

  1. Before such People have set up social networking sites
    we didn’t have any way of communicating easily.

Before ist ein Signalwort für die Present Perfect, da diese Zeit einen Bezug zur Gegenwart herstellt. Für den zweiten Teil gilt das bei Satz 1 gesagte.

  1. Many people believe that the changes in communication technology will improve the qualityof our lives in the
    future.
  1. After other computer experts launched MySpace, many
    pop stars started to use it to promote themselves. In
    the meantime it became one of their favourite means to
    promote themselves.
  1. If more and more people will use Facebook in the future,
    the world will become even smaller.
  1. After the computer expert on TV showed us his latest
    development, he started to talk about his next project.
  1. While an Indian student was filming himself for Facebook,
    an earthquake began.

While erfordert hier past progressive, da diese Handlung zum Erzählzeitpunkt gerade ablief.

  1. While I was watching a clip on YouTube yesterday, my
    computer crashed.

Wie Satz 7: Längere Handlung Past Progressive, neue Handlung Past Simple.

Dies sind die richtigen Formen. Wenn Dir eine (oder mehrere) nicht klar ist/sind, schreib zurück. Dann erkläre ich es gerne.
Bei Satz 2 das ‚had‘ ist etwas strittig. Im gesprochenen Englisch würde es niemand gebrauchen, aber es kann sein, dass es in einem Grammatiktest gebraucht werden muss.

Hallo, ich habe nochmal nachgelesen. Im zweiten Satz wäre es wohl korrekter, das ‚had‘ zu benutzen. (Past Perfect oder simple Past bei ‚before‘ ist eine etwas komplizierte Frage.

Maya, schreibe doch mal deine Lösung, begründe deine verwendete Tense und schicke sie mir.

Der zweite Satz wäre am besten so: Before such people set up (…) we hadn’t had any…
